I approach cooking with the idea that it can be relaxing and enjoyable even if I am stressed out or pressed for time to feed a starving family a great meal. I am not very good at following recipes. I find that tweaking them to suit my on-hand ingredients or family taste works great with less pressure.
A food experience brings us together. Sitting down to enjoy a meal with our family, our mate or special friends creates a communal experience that fosters conversation and sharing because we are "breaking bread" together. I invite you to join me at the Table at Granite Springs.
I have a very busy schedule with a large family and have been cooking for quite a long time. However, I can assure you that it is not necessary for you to have a bunch of cooking experience to plan and prepare great meals, a dinner party or special event.
